Sam Kim writes "This is gorgeously fruited and inviting on the nose showing dark cherry, Black Doris plum, thyme, cedar and mixed spice aromas, followed by a concentrated palate that offers excellent weight and fruit purity. It is wonderfully composed and elegantly expressed with lovely textural mouthfeel, finishing impressively long and refined."

The winery writes "Ripe hand picked fruit, gentle winemaking and maturation in French oak have resulted in a complex and powerful wine, with aromas of dark cherry and chocolate, with a rich and silky smooth palate and a long spicy finish. A great example of one of the best Central Otago Pinot Noirs. Excellent value, drinking fantastically well now and will develop and cellar for several years."
