Rippon has a deserved reputation as one of the most picturesque vineyards in the world and Tinker’s Field is a gentle, north facing slope and home to the oldest vines on the property. It is named after Rippon’s visionary founder, Rolfe Mills (Tink to his friends). This is fine boned, vibrant pinot that bursts with red fruits and a mineral core. Fruit weight is restrained but succulent with fine tannins. Exceptional Wanaka Pinot from bio dynamically grown grapes.
Cameron Douglas MS writes "The bouquet of this wine is complex and takes some time to let go and release its story - so decant for service please. Aromas and flavours of dark berries and plums, wild flowers and bespoke tea. No mistaking the youthful tension of tannin and acidity supported by a core of fruit and minerality then oak. Complex and lengthy finish."
