FIVE STARS 97/100 | Sam Kim, Wine Orbit "The palate is an expression of energy."
This wine has made the prestigious Air NZ Fine Wines of New Zealand List.
This special wine is crafted from hand harvested, naturally fermented, selected barrels of Te Muna Road Pinot Noir and is, without a doubt, one of the finest Martinborough Pinot Noir's. 2018 vintage Winemaker Matt Stafford writes "Aroha demonstrates our ability to craft a number of distinctive, individual wine styles while reflecting the attributes of our unique vineyards."
Sam Kim writes "Magnificently composed and expressed, the bouquet shows Black Doris plum, raspberry, violet, olive, anise and spicy oak characters, leading to a gracefully powerful palate that's superbly concentrated with outstanding depth and persistency. It's multi-layered and lingering with symphonic flavours."
The winery writes "Light cherry in colour with a beautiful Burgundy hue. Lifted wild strawberry and ripe cherry notes dominate the bouquet, with hints of lavender sitting in unison with subtle oak tones floating in the background. The palate is an expression of energy."
