Paritua are a shining star of Hawke's Bay fine wine production and when you taste this incredible wine you will immediately know why the scores for it are so high. 2112 is Paritua's flagship wine and it is a superb effort. The 2015 is a blend of cabernet sauvignon 52%, merlot 31%, cabernet franc 17%. Sweet fruit and ultra fine tannins with a subtle yet lingering power to the palate and a simply extraordinary length. This is New Zealand red at its absolute pinnacle. Powerful but not overworked. Refined. Magnificent. Purchase with our very highest recommendation.
Cameron Douglas MS writes "From Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc – a bouquet of complexity, depth and concentration. No mistaking the core of fruit, no mistaking the impact of new oak. Blackberry, roasted plum, vanilla, clove and toasted wood aromas. Intense on the palate with flavours that reflect the nose – dark berries and baking spices, violets and dark roses, black berry fruits and milk chocolate moments. Firm youthful tannins and acidity to match. Long complex finish. A wine for the cellar or decant for service. Best from late 2020 through 2030+. A fine wine. "
