4.5 STARS | Michael Cooper
4.5 STARS | Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
Fantastic release from Elephant Hill. Cool, crisp and dry. Very well balanced with fresh fruit and lovely acidity. Get a deli platter together, some friends around and hit the deck immediately.
The winery writes "Our 2018 Tempranillo Rosé is cool, crisp and dry. Hand-picked and whole bunch pressed. Our winemaker focuses on freshness, flavour and colour which made this wine well balanced with purity of fruit and lovely fresh acidity."
Michael Cooper writes "The distinctive, full-!avoured 2018 vintage (4.5*) was made from Tempranillo, handpicked in the Bridge Pa Triangle. and held brie!y on its skins (for one hour) to extract its pale pink hue. A 'serious' but very approachable wine, it is fragrant, fresh and smooth, with strong, strawberryish, peachy, slightly spicy !avours, a hint of apricot, and a long, fully dry finish."
Sam Kim writes "It is restrained and delicately expressed on the nose showing apple, raspberry, lemon peel and subtle savoury characters, leading to a focused palate that is finely textured and elegantly fruited. It is vibrant and mouth-watering with a lengthy crisp finish. "
