It's always a happy day when we're offered a parcel of something with a bit of bottle age and even more so when it comes from the guys at Tietjen Witters. When a stocktake at the winery uncovered a parcel of 2014 pinot gris, our longstanding relationship with TW meant that we were the first port of call when it came to selling it on and we jumped at the chance.
Previously only available at the cellar door, this is sublime gris that has softened with age and is in excellent form.Those plush fruit characters have developed over the years and the result is opulent gris with a richness that only time in the bottle can bring to the equation. The finish is refreshingly dry and lingering. Drink with complete confidence over the next 12 - 18 months. Stock is limited.

Tasting Notes
The winery writes "Pale rose gold, this Pinot Gris show just a hint of the blush berries it has been made from. Aromas of ripe golden pear and citrus blossom lead into a rich silky palate which offers flavours of pear reduction and spice. Although dry, this wine has wonderful ripe fruit flavours which add richness and length."
